CAMDEN TOWN BABY!

It was sure a wet and wild day! My good friend Brooke and I took the bus down to Camden Town in the rain, where canopies were set up selling souvenirs and delicious food. Fruits and veggies laid outside with splashes of water from the pouring rain making it look more delicious than ever. There were mini shops that carried goodies and I could not help but be fascinated by these independent designers and their ability to create such beautiful jewelry and clothes. Everything was handmade including rings, cuffs, pendants, t-shirts, etc. After a quick browse, our noses followed the smell of the spices of a nearby Chinese cuisine stand which hit the spot. Camden was amazing. Regardless of the shower and our socks drenched in water, we manage to have the time of our lives!

"ENERGY, FUN, WISECRACKS GALORE!”

Fun filled day for my good friend Vanessa who is also studying with me here in Bloomsbury, London. Following the Graduate Fashion Show, we took the tube straight to the theatre to see Priscilla Oueen of the Desert. Not going to say much. You just have to see it for yourself. What a spectacle of glitz and glam! Loved it! Nothing better than ending the night with some Italian cuisine and a free Tiramisu birthday cake. I wish everyday was this extraordinary!

GRADUATE FASHION WEEK

(London Graduate Fashion Week 2011)

London's Graduate Fashion Week is an annual show sponsored by George Style. The show presented collections from graduate designers from universities all over London. Prior to the show, I visited booths which displayed collections from talented young designers and could not help but admire everything. The workmanship and detailed work put into their presentations was impeccable. Everything from look books to cinematography to garments were displayed in each artists' space to promote their work. I fell in love with the atmosphere and it left me more motivated than anything. I don't want to leave this place. It feels like home! I'm FEENING FOR FASHION!

MUSEUM MADNESS

Today, I died a little. The exhibits were gorgeous and full of fashion. On a display case laid Vivienne Westwood's platform heels from her 1991 collection. It was clearly influenced by the slashing technique that was used on historical dresses.

We also visited Yohji Yamamoto's exclusive exhibit which held some if not all of his best work. Out stood serval forms wearing his garments. It left me inspired.

Portobello Market

Bright and early trying to beat the crazy traffic, my fellow flatmates and I visited Portobello Road where a market was held. Selling things from vintage novels, to fur coats, to even delicious ready to order crepes, I got a taste and feel of everything. Not much was bought but boy was I tempted to! Lovely miniature musicians were playing their instruments and my heart melted. I am definitely going back without a doubt.
